Bermuda Heats up With Argentine Tango

Bermuda will be moving to a distinctively South American beat when the Bermuda Argentine Tango Festival steps into town September 2, 2010. The Bermuda tourism department together with the Salsa Mania Productions is the sponsors of the islands first Argentine Tango Festival 'Feel the Love...Feel the Passion', held in Hamilton, Bermuda and runs through September 5, 2010. A few of the finer hotels Bermuda is known for offer specials for this event.

Experience the excitement of Bermuda's first Tango Festival set against a beautiful Bermuda backdrop. Share in a dance described as a dance that expresses most of the emotions that might exist between a man and a woman: passion, excitement, love, romance, tenderness, sadness, anger and enjoyment. The Tango is one of the most popular dances in the world and is performed among a rising number of Bermudians, which has attracted master instructors to come to the island.

The Festival features tango classes, performances and nightly group dances called milongas led by tango masters such as Miriam Larici, Leonardo Barrioneuvo, Marisa Quirogs, Eduardo Saucedo and Angel F. Coria. There will be 12 multi-level workshops ranging from beginner to advanced dancers.

Argentine Tango dancing consists of a variety of styles that were developed in a wide array of regions and eras, consequently, there is a good deal of overlapping between dance styles as they are currently being danced and the wonder fusion continues to evolve.
